Markku Leskinen is an experienced leader with over 25 years of expertise in managing people, teams, and businesses in demanding roles across various industries. He has held leadership positions in both domestic and international companies, including Ericsson, Microsoft, Nokia, Isku, Sonepar, and Weidmüller GmbH, leading B2C and B2B operations. Markku has extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business development, particularly in High-Tech, manufacturing, import, export, as well as in direct, wholesale, and retail trade, and the service sector. Throughout his professional career, he has created a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of the various market dynamics in which organizations operate. Markku has compiled his insights and learnings into a self-published book, “Why Some Sell More Than Others”. He also enjoys assessing sales team leadership and performance, providing valuable insights on strengths and potential areas for development.
Before joining JFP Executive Search, Markku worked for Mercuri Urval in Helsinki and Washington, D.C., helping clients find, identify, select, and hire the right talent for demanding leadership roles by offering strong insights, operational capability, and leadership.
At JFP Executive Search, Markku works on Executive Search and Leadership Advisory projects, bringing his expertise to support organizational success. His mission is to find the right people for the right positions, thereby helping organizations and teams achieve their goals.
Markku holds an M.Sc. in Business Economics from the University of Jyväskylä (Finland) and has completed marketing management studies at INSEAD in Singapore, France, and Finland.
